BRIGHTON EAST HOUSE
This contemporary new home in Brighton East House on a large 900m square block was tailored for a young family wanting a spacious and light-filled home with generous outdoor areas. The clients’ brief for the interiors was for refined sophistication with clean lines and a calming neutral colour palette, while still remaining functional for their family. Natural finishes selected in the interior colour scheme include American Oak cabinetry and luxurious Elba marble benchtops, creating a cohesive look that flows throughout.
The master ensuite bathroom was designed with a luxe hotel feel and the selection of bathroom fittings and fixtures includes a striking black and white freestanding bath featuring a cluster of artisan handblown glass pendant lights above. The undermount basins and brushed nickel tapware in the Elba marble benchtops complete the feeling of bespoke interior design elegance.
High on the list of design features requested by the clients were the expansive floor-to-ceiling windows in the living areas creating a seamless flow between the indoor and outdoor spaces.
The modern kitchen opens up to an outdoor kitchen with the benchtop continuing out to a long barbecue benchtop for outdoor entertaining. Living areas are positioned to make the most of the outdoors, while the natural light that floods in creates a bright and airy interior. Whether it’s the pool area for summer entertaining or the outdoor fireplace for cooler evenings, it’s a functional house that embraces all the seasons.
