When we asked Susie to help with our house we had a fair idea of what we wanted to do but we had never used an interior designer before.
We wanted to do up every room, including a new kitchen and bathroom, painting, floors, curtains, light fittings, door handles and furniture and Susie organised the lot. She provided the contractors and project managed the whole process. The contractors did an excellent job and everything ran very smoothly. Then there was the interior design process. Susie has very good taste and a good eye for quality. The choices in all aspects of decorating are mind blowing. The end result is fabulous but we couldn’t have done it on our own.
I would highly recommend Susie Miles Design, so much so that we recently engaged her again in sourcing and selecting furniture and designing unique cabinetry for our second home.

Susie Miles was engaged to establish the overall interior design for our architect designed contemporary riverside residence. Susie was involved from time of construction with a brief to furnish the home to enhance the architectural features with reference to the budget and our personal preferences.
This is my second project with Susie. Susie is a visionary in terms of the big picture. She is 100% engaged on the project… incredibly committed prompt and reliable. Susie always ensures the mission is completed to the highest standard. Susie’s role involved designing, sourcing craftsmen, assessing, documenting, contracting, inspecting and installing to selecting colours and finishes! All done efficiently and effortlessly.
A lot of our furnishings are finely crafted bespoke pieces designed especially for our home.

With our house being on a clifftop at Flinders, we needed guidance to bring the coastal setting into the interior, with furniture that would suit the expansive open spaces.
Susie Miles Design came highly recommended by our architect. Susie shied away from the obvious – whatever she couldn’t source she designed and had custom made. Her creativity extended to producing furniture, rugs and feature lighting of her design, such as the dramatic 1.8 metre willow pendant that hangs in our double height entry. Thanks to Susie’s passion for art, we were guided in selecting several beautiful Australian artworks which we enjoy throughout our home. We were particularly happy to have worked with Susie as she was always so professional, organised, positive and cheerful.
Her efforts have resulted in a stunning home that we really love.

I have used Susie Miles Design to help me with two renovation projects.
I was so happy with Susie’s expertise, attention to detail and creative input the first time, I was more than happy to ask her to oversee my second renovation. Susie is able to assess very quickly the scope of work to be done at the level the client is comfortable with and her input immediately puts a client at ease. Susie also has a list of tradespeople whose work is of the very best quality and I have felt very comfortable with these tradespeople working at my home. Susie was onsite whenever needed to discuss and oversee what needed to be dealt with.
She was also very contactable by phone if the need arose. This really helped make the renovation process run smoothly.

Our medical suite had not been renovated for some 15 years.
I had heard good reports about Susie Miles and asked her to design the appropriate renovation and oversee it from start to finish. Our consulting rooms have been totally transformed.

We were living interstate at the time and had purchased a new home in Melbourne.
Our new home is a very different style of architecture to our old home and has a more contemporary feel. It was a blank canvas and we didn’t have the time to do the interiors or know where to start!
We also knew our existing furniture and furnishings wouldn’t suit the modern interiors and had to start again. We needed new window furnishings, sofas, dining table & chairs, rugs, custom designed cabinetry for a living room and a complete home office fitout.
After researching Melbourne interior designers and talking to Susie Miles, we felt confident she was a good match for us and could help us achieve our ideal home.
Susie advised us on the colour scheme, furniture, fabrics and finishes selection so it all flowed. She worked with us and her cabinetmakers on custom joinery designs including an entertainment unit for the Living area and cabinetry design for our home office.
